History of Metal Music

Metal music is one genre that is very global. Metal music has attracted the attention of the younger generation for over 50 years. Even today, Metal music has branched into different sub genres.

But the main thing is the main motivator for the survival of "metal music" through all generations is a need for young people to rebel against the status quo, to express themselves and the frustrations of a way of life that is out of date.

Metal band Black Sabbath was the first of the original, and the inspiration for the sub genre of "Doom Metal". Metal music evolved through Judas Priest and Iron Maiden, and bands like Motorhead, Iron Maiden, Metallica.

In the 80s, a sub genre of "thrash metal" evolved into the "death metal". Several prominent death metal band at the time was Possessed and Death. Traditional metal also began in the 80's and bands like Fates Warning and Queensrysce.

Even more sub-genres of metal music that emerged quickly in the late '90s, including "Stoner Metal" and "Sludge Metal".
