History of Music Rock


Alternative Rock is a genre of rock that emerged in the 1980s and became very popular in 1990. The name "alternative" was found in 1980 to describe punk rock bands that do not fit with the flow of punk rock at the time. As a specific type of music, alternative rock has a variety of sub-streams, from the indie music which began on 1980 and became popular in 1990, such as indie rock, grunge, gothic rock, and college rock. Streams are consolidated with the respective trademark.
Although alternative stream flow counted as rock, but some sub-streams affected by folk music, reggae, electronic music, and jazz. In this period, the term used to refer to the alternative rock rock music from underground bands in the 1980s, punk rock (including punk itself), and for rock music itself in the 1990s and 2000s.
